Our Story

From a basement in 1992 to the company today. Each stop is another chapter in our story: the banks, people, and work that got us here.

1. 1992

   Founded

   Larry starts CBC at 22, running it out of his basement. He keeps a day job to pay the bills and builds the business at night, bank by bank, for years.

2. 1995

   Darrell Joins the Team

   Darrell is the 2nd ever hire at CBC. Thirty plus years later he is still at it, in the day to day grind. We would not be where we are today without him.

3. 2000

   First IT Audit

   We complete our first IT audit for a community bank. It sets the standard we still hold to: look past the checklist, find what other auditors miss, and hand you something you can actually act on.

4. 2010

   Moved into a new building

   We move into a new office building at 960 Kingsmill Parkway, Columbus, OH 43229, with room for the team we had and the one we were about to build.

5. 2012

   Information Cyber Security Program

   We bring every IT need under one program, designed and executed to meet FFIEC standards and align with leading maturity models. Policy, risk, controls, testing, exam prep, and board reporting, all covered by our Information Cyber Security Program.

6. 2016

   Team Grows to 25

   The team reaches 25 people. Engineers, technicians, auditors, web and marketing staff under one roof, which means a bank talks to the person who actually does the work instead of getting passed along.

7. 2020

   First Virtual ISO Client

   A community bank names us its information security officer. Over one hundred years of combined experience covering a seat no single hire could fill.

8. 2025

   Hyosung Authorized Dealer

   We became a certified Hyosung dealer with factory trained technicians. Banks get people who understand both the machine and the network behind it, and who actually show up when called.

9. 2026

   ITM Branch Offering

   We launched the CBC ITM Branch. Everything a branch is, none of what a branch takes. We handle the land, the build, the service and maintenance, and you are live in weeks.
