IT Policy
Besides a huge pain in the... It is a GLBA regulatory requirement. Your BCP is your bank's plan on how to continue to serve your customers in the event of a disaster. It is a comprehensive, exhaustive document. It will require a considerable amount of time and resources to complete.
Everything. A Business Continuity Plan must include how you will handle establishing a service location, personnel, supplies, services, processing, technology and how you will resume normal operations. Examiners want to see Business impact Analyses and / or Risk Assessments and testing.
The technology section or the Disaster Recovery Plan portion of the Business Continuity Plan is the most daunting. Because DRP planning is a part of your information security as a whole, it requires the most expertise and diligence. Disaster Recovery planning starts with the way your bank plans, implements, and maintains your information systems.
Community Banc Consulting of Ohio, Inc. is experienced in creating Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans. Our approach is to create a functional doocument that is actually valuable in the event of disaster. Our BCP and DRP plans are practical and do not create an administrative burden on your community bank. When necessary, CBC can conduct BCP or DRP testing. We document the testing and create a report for your board and examiners.
